Google has announced that Google Chrome will be available as an Operating System. Google states their goal is to provide the fastest possible Operating System that will serve users who mainly use the Web.

As soon as we saw the ability for Chrome to make application shortcuts we suspected Google would take it to the next level with a fast and thin Chrome based Operating System. The speed with which they moved this forward was a surprise. We can’t wait to get our hands on it!
